Jobbik leader: Party returns to using former name Movement for a Better Hungary
Delegates at the 34th congress of opposition Jobbik voted on Friday in support of the party going back to using its former name Jobbik Magyarorszagert Mozgalom (Movement for a Better Hungary), the party leader said.
Bela Adorjan said in a statement on Saturday that the decision demonstrated that the party’s most important goal is to represent national interests.
“Continuing our work under the name Movement for a Better Hungary means that we consider it our task to establish the conditions for basic human dignity based on conservative values for all Hungarian people,” he said.
“We practise politics as a grassroots movement, from the bottom up, in alliance with the people, seeking solutions together,” he added.
