Labrador Shows off Retrieving Skills, Turns Into ‘DJ Labitude’
A dog has impressed viewers online with his retrieving skills, delighting audiences by choosing to bring his owner a speaker above other things before dancing along to the tunes she chose to play on it.
The Labrador retriever, named Brewer, was captured running over to his owner with the JBL speaker held firmly in his mouth. The canine then proceeded to dance along to his favorite hip-hop and rap tunes. His owner, Danielle Duplissa, shared the hilarious moment to TikTok on October 20, where it has since been viewed more than 2.8 million times, leaving viewers around the world in hysterics.
“Brewer loves to carry anything in his mouth,” Duplissa, 39, told Newsweek. “On a Sunday morning, he was interested in the JBL clip speaker.
“We have three dogs, and they are our ‘kids’ so they are spoiled, and we let Brewer carry the speaker around because, well, he wanted to.”
Duplissa, who is based in Montana, went on to play a variety of tunes for the yellow Labrador, who quickly made clear which one his favorite was.
“When ‘Get Low’ by Lil John & the East Side Boyz came on, you could tell it was his jam,” Duplissa said. “He was twirling and wiggling to the beat, as you can see in the video.
“I happened to capture this moment and he happened to be on point with his dance moves!”
Viewers online, keen to join in on the fun, have since been asking the pet owner if her 1-year-old canine is available to DJ at their weddings, baby showers and even funerals.
“I was amazed when it went viral, and the amount of viewers and comments just kept multiplying,” Duplissa said. “I was never expecting that and I thank everyone for taking the time to check it out and comment!
“The best part is he brought a smile to, as of now, 2.8 million people, and that is what makes me most happy! He brings a smile to us multiple times a day with his ‘labitude.'”
Duplissa’s post, which had been shared under @dduplfzub55, has been liked almost 700,000 times to date, and has amassed 1640 comments.
“Already searching tickets to their next show,” Google commented, under their official TikTok account, @google.
“The vibe we bring to the function,” JBL, the audio equipment manufacturer, said under @jblaudio.
Duplissa responded: “For sure! DJ Labitude! Reach out if you want to use his video. I’m sure he would love to make more, haha. He is happy all the time.”
“Fantastic does he do weddings,” another viewer, @slowvo95, posted.
“Me in my next life as a dog,” another, @oak.j98.land, added.
