Posta adds new vehicles in time for holiday season
Magyar Posta expects to deliver more than 7 million parcels over the Christmas period. By the end of the year, 130 new VW Crafter vans will therefore be put into operation across the country to cope with the increased volume.
During the Christmas period, the daily parcel volume increases by 30-40% compared to the annual average.
The company’s own survey has shown that 82% of internet users in Germany shop online. Swiss Post therefore advises customers to post their parcels by 18 December at the latest in order to ensure that their Christmas parcels are delivered on time. These can be posted and collected at around 3,500 post offices, postal partners and MPL parcel machines across the country.
