Danica Patrick Slams $210 Billion Worth Fast-Food Company In Bold Accusation
Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick has heavily criticized fast-food company McDonald’s. Taking to Instagram and her podcast, Patrick accused the global fast-food giant of serving fries containing “larvae, bugs, and dirt.”
Beyond racing, she is an advocate for nutrition and healthy living, evident in her book “Pretty Intense,” which shares her insights into fitness and wellness.
In a discussion with Sean Mike Kelly, Patrick delved into the fast-food industry’s heavy reliance on ultra-processed ingredients. During this conversation, she stressed that companies like McDonald’s need to keep up with changes in consumer expectations and shifting dietary habits.
In Patrick’s eyes, a move towards healthier ingredients could transform the fast-food sector.

Patrick’s call for change aligns with her personal advocacy for organic and wholesome foods. She shared:
“Imagine if McDonald’s became healthy.
“Everybody has the ability to evolve… If your business isn’t working the way it is, or if something’s coming down the pipeline that will take away the business you have, just evolve.”
Globally, there’s a shift, with places like the UK pushing for calorie reductions in dietary guidelines. This movement demonstrates a greater consumer demand for transparency and healthier options.
However, for a corporation like McDonald’s, valued at a staggering $210 billion, this call for change could present some challenges. While the company has introduced some healthier menu items and reduced calorie counts, it has yet to fully embrace the comprehensive health-focused shift that Patrick envisions.
The former driver hasn’t shied away from vocalizing her views, even if they are sometimes seen as controversial.
Patrick ventured into politics in 2024 when she publicly backed Donald Trump in the US election. Speaking about her political stance, she explained, as previously reported by Newsweek Sports:
“Here is where I stand with SOME current issues and politics. I am not a liberal. I am somewhere between republican and independent.
“I think our country should be run by someone that knows business and has integrity. I believe we should be able to speak freely.
“I love this country, and I have lived in other places. I believe when people of different opinions speak face to face, we realize we are more similar than different.
“I don’t believe everything anyone says. I have been very torn over the years if I should give a [crap] about politics or just live the life I want as an example. I have been doing the latter. The reaction today is definitely interesting… since all I said was, I love this country.”
