WWE News: Current UFC Champion Wants to Enter Royal Rumble
The Royal Rumble is not just a ticket for a title match at WrestleMania, it is also an opportunity to create iconic moments.
Whether it’s a daring spot, rivals eliminating each other, or the return of a beloved legend, the Royal Rumble remains one of the best events in WWE history.

Another way that the Royal Rumble keeps surprising fans is with celebrities’ appearances. From Drew Carey to Bad Bunny, multiple well-known names have walked down the ramp and stepped into the ring.
Now, it appears a current UFC champion wants to do that as well.

Backstage at UFC 311, Cathy Kelley held an interview with current UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad.
In the interview, Muhammad proceeded to say that he is a lifelong wrestling fan and wanted WWE Superstar CM Punk’s help to enter into the Royal Rumble.

“I’ve been training for this my whole life like I’ve been ready,” Muhammad said. “I’ve been thinking about WWE. I was wrestling off the garage in my house, jumping into the snow; Ladder Matches, I’ve been doing wrestling since I was a kid.”
“I’m ready to go into the ring, too. So we need to declare for the Rumble. Who do we need to talk to? Punk, help me out, brother, let’s go.”
Later, Kelley held another interview with both Muhammad and Punk, saying that they were happy to be under the TKO umbrella and explaining which matches they were most excited about.
When asked about whether he could get Muhammad into the Royal Rumble, CM Punk simply said, “Indianapolis, baby. You never know who’s gonna be in the Royal Rumble.”
CM Punk also said that Muhammad didn’t have to declare for the number, “we can just give you a number.”

Multiple mixed martial artists have entered WWE and found great success, including Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, and Shayna Baszler, to name a few.
There’s no reason that Muhammad could also be one of those people, especially if he has an understanding of how wrestling works.
Muhammad has already made a huge name for himself in MMA, boasting a 24-1-3 record. Time will tell if he ever makes the transition to WWE.
