DK: Elon Musk embodies evil!
‘We are facing a dark year, not a fantastic year,’ the leader of the left-wing liberal party painted a pessimistic picture at a press conference on Wednesday.
Ferenc Gyurcsány fears that Hungary will fall further behind on an international scale. Growth will once again be lower than the government had hoped, while inflation will be higher. At the same time, the mountains of problems in the healthcare system remain untouched and conflicts in the education system are increasing. Unsurprisingly, the former prime minister defended the DK’s motion to dissolve parliament in order to bring forward the 2026 election date.
The DK is in favour of a stronger EU, for a United States of Europe, Donald Trump will make for a lousy world. ‘It will be a good time for the strong, the powerful and the privileged, for all those who do not care about the common good,’ warned Gyurcsány, who portrayed Elon Musk as the “new embodiment of evil”. ‘The world is not a public limited company, different techniques are needed to increase the common good than if you want to become the richest man in the world.’ DK is positioning itself against Elon Musk, Donald Trump and Viktor Orbán in the camp that stands up for those people who simply want to live their peaceful everyday lives. With Trump openly wanting to occupy Greenland and Panama, a year of conflict is dawning, as China is looking ever more blatantly at Taiwan, the Russian president is ‘marching in Ukraine’ and the Turkish president will undoubtedly also bang the table in Syria.
The DK will hold its annual party congress on 2 February, at which new leadership positions will be filled.
