Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most successful games of this generation, and WB Games wants to ensure that it keeps getting updated for years to come. The publisher, along with developer Avalanche Software, has announced that the game will get official mod support on PC with a free update soon.

An official Hogwarts Legacy Creator’s Kit will let players create their own mods and publish them directly inside the game. WB has partnered with CurseForge to host and moderate all mods created by users. Creators will be able to add new quests, characters, items, and dungeons using the Creator’s Kit.
Like Baldur’s Gate 3, the official mods will be available directly through the main menu. Hogwarts Legacy community manager Chandler Woods demonstrated how mods will work in the game in a new video, showing off the “Dungeon of Doom”, a new mod, as an example.
The next update for Hogwarts Legacy arrives on January 30, 2025, bringing official mod support on PC. Players will need to link their Steam or Epic Games account to a Warner Bros. Games account to access mods on PC.
Hogwarts Legacy is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
