Why Blac Chyna Just Called Out Tristan Thompson
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Blac Chyna has Tristan Thompson in her sights — and is calling him out for referring to her daughter Dream as his child.
The famed rapper, 36, left a scathing comment about the NBA star, 33, on the Hollywood Unblocked Instagram account on Friday, January 31. The account shared a Snapchat from Thompson, who claimed that he missed Dream very much.
“I have two daughters, and their names are … Dream is my oldest daughter, and True is the second oldest,” Thompson said in the Snapchat. “Those are my two girls, and I miss you guys so much. I love you guys.”
In the post, Chyna — real name Angela White — set the record straight and called out Thompson for his lies.
“Dream has one mother, Angela White, and one father, Robert Kardashian,” she wrote. “I usually don’t speak up, but I’m done. Stop all this clout chasing involving my daughter!”
Chyna and Kardashian divorced in 2017. However, she added in the response that they have a healthy relationship as co-parents to Dream.
“As parents, we have joint custody, and we also have a beautiful, healthy co-parenting relationship,” Chyna wrote.

Along with Dream, Chyna is the mother of her son King, 12, who she shares with Tyga.
Meanwhile, Thompson is the father of four kids with three different women. He and his ex, Khloe Kardashian (Rob Kardashian’s older sister), share True, 6, and Tatum, 2, together. The Cleveland Cavaliers player also has son Prince, 8, whose maternal mother is Jordan Craig, and son Theo, 3, whom he had with Maralee Nichols during his relationship with Khloe. He initially denied that he was Theo’s father until a paternity test revealed his infidelity.
Fans of Chyna immediately sided with her and joined in on calling Thompson out in the Instagram post.
“Tristan can shut his he needs to worry about his own kids,” wrote one person.
A second person wrote, “The way you handled this was so mature.”
“I’m glad you spoke up! They really be crossing the line!” agreed a third person.
Khloe has also been public about her relationship with Dream. In a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, she admitted to feeling like a third parent to her niece and later elaborated on those comments in an Instagram Story at the time.
“My brother and I are extremely close. I am with Dream all the time because I’m with my brother all of the time. I love her beyond measure,” she said in the now-deleted post courtesy of Page Six.
Chyna confirmed Khloe’s closeness with Dream during a 2023 chat with Entertainment Tonight.
“They’re so close, you know? Rob and Khloé. So of course Dream’s gonna be like [that] with True,” Chyna explained.
