SEPTA Train Carrying Hundreds of People Catches Fire In Delaware County
About 350 passengers were safely evacuated Thursday evening after a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) train caught fire near the Crum Lynne Station in Ridley Park, Delaware County.
The fire, which originated underneath the first car of the six-car train, prompted immediate emergency response efforts and temporarily halted Amtrak and SEPTA services along the Wilmington/Newark Regional Rail line, according to reports.
