Dog in Love With the Cleaning Lady Dubbed the ‘Most Wholesome Friendship’

Hearts are melting over a video of a dog begging to go out into the apartment complex’s hallway to greet his best friend.

A January 27 TikTok video posted by ESPN host Skubie Mageza under his account @skubiemageza showed his dog whining at the front door. The dog kept circling with excitement all because he heard the sound of the vacuum in the apartment complex hallway.

Vacuums oftentimes terrify dogs. An article from Dogster stated that between 20 and 50 percent of dogs display behaviors of noise sensitivity and because a dog’s hearing is much stronger than a human’s. That means while a vacuum noise might annoy us, dogs find vacuums to be much louder and uncomfortable.

But not Mageza’s goldendoodle. He knew the sound meant his favorite human, the cleaning lady, was working. The dog begged for Mageza to open the door. As soon as he did, the dog bolted down the hallway. He started jumping up with his tail wagging as the cleaning lady embraced him.

Part of the caption reads: “…It’s truly the most wholesome friendship and they both make each others day.”

Mageza shared in a separate video that his dog and the cleaning lady have had a strong bond since he was a puppy. They have built a strong relationship with each other over “positive vibes.” Plus, his dog is no longer afraid of vacuums because of her.

And to say Mageza is a little jealous would be an understatement. He wrote in the video’s comment section: “He doesn’t even act like that with me. I swear he would leave with her.”

Newsweek reached out to Mageza via TikTok for additional comment.

Viewer Reactions

The precious interaction quickly amassed over 217,300 views and 50,600 likes on TikTok as of Tuesday. Viewers could feel the love these two had for each other through the screen.

“To think even doggies have sympathy and can recognize good people,” wrote one viewer.

A second commented: “That’s so adorable!!! He just wanted to say hello and get his loving from the lady.”

Another added: “Omg I know that makes her day every time!!” To which Mageza replied: “That’s why I open the door when he begs because it makes both their days lol.”
