Swiss-Hungarian Rheinmetall Team Works on Solution Against Aerial Threats
Drones are now claiming more lives on the modern high-intensity battlefield than any other weapon system. Defenses against them are currently either fairly ineffective, or very expensive. The Hungarian Defense Forces seem to have found the answer in cooperation with Germany’s Rheinmetall.

In a social media post, German defense technology giant Rheinmetall have informed that a group of passionate engineers from Rheinmetall in Hungary and Switzerland have joined forces on a joint development project. The objective of this collaboration is to seamlessly integrate the Skyranger30 into the chassis of the RH HUN Lynx variant. A dummy turret has been used to take the necessary measurements, simulating the weight of the Skyranger30 turret. This significant milestone has brought the team one step closer to finalizing the product.

The Skyranger, when mounted on a highly mobile armored vehicle, offers unparalleled protection in all situations, on and off the road. The 30 mm revolver gun, when used with airburst ammunition, delivers impressive performance against drones, cruise missiles and other airborne threats.
