As for the Celtics, they have a long list on the injury report. Star forward Jaylen Brown has been ruled out of this game due to right knee posterior impingement.

Co-star Jayson Tatum also landed on the injury report prior to the matchup. Tatum was listed as questionable entering the game and will play in this contest.

Star point guard Jrue Holiday remains out due to a nagging hand injury. Center Al Horford will also miss this game due to a left big toe sprain.

Additionally, center Kristaps Porzingis will miss this game due to a non-Covid illness. This leaves Boston shorthanded for this matchup with Philadelphia.

The two sides entered this season as two of the favorites to compete in the Eastern Conference this season. While Boston has lived up to the hype, the 76ers have seen a nightmare year take place.

The 76ers have been decimated by injuries this season and it has caused all sorts of problems. Philadelphia currently owns a record of 21-40 for the season entering this game and they have lost two in a row.

This team has only won one of their previous 10 games so they could be on the verge of bowing out. Philadelphia remains in the playoff hunt despite all the issues but they could be better off forgoing the rest of the season.

In contrast, the Celtics enter this game with the second-best record in the East. Boston owns a record of 44-18 for the year and they have won eight of their past 10 games overall.

The Celtics will have the upper hand here even with all of the injuries. But the 76ers could make things interesting if others step up.
