For the third time this season, Texas and South Carolina are set to face off, but this time, the stakes are higher than ever, with the SEC championship on the line.
The top-ranked Longhorns (31-2, 15-1 SEC) and the No. 5 Gamecocks (29-3, 15-1 SEC) have been dominant all year, with their only conference losses coming against each other. Now, they’ll settle the score in the SEC Tournament final, where one team will walk away with the title and the ultimate bragging rights.

These teams first met on Jan. 12, with South Carolina holding the Texas offense in check to the tune of a 67-50 win. However, the Longhorns got revenge on Feb. 9 in Austin, with SEC Player of the Year Madison Booker having a big game in a 66-62 Texas victory.
On Saturday in the semifinals, South Carolina demolished Oklahoma 93-75 while Texas struggled a bit against a hobbled LSU team, ultimately pulling out the 56-49 win thanks to another big game from Booker.
