N.J. man arrested after his wife was found dead with blood on her face and belt around her neck
SOUTH TOMS RIVER, N.J. (TCN) — A 38-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of killing his wife, who was found with blood on her face.
According to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, on the night of March 8, South Toms River Police responded to a report of an unconscious female on Hummel Drive, where they found 30-year-old Cheyanne Juarez on the floor with a “belt around her neck.” Officials attempted lifesaving measures, but Juarez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators identified the victim’s husband, Gustavo Juarez-Perez, as the primary suspect in Juarez’s death. He was taken into custody and booked in to the Ocean County Jail. The prosecutor’s office announced that they charged Juarez-Perez with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
