There is a chance that seven to eight Hungarian contestants will compete in the snow sports at next year’s Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo in North Italy.
By the end of the 2024/25 season, Hungary will have a national quota in cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and snowboarding. The qualification regulations, the notification of quotas and their allocation will become official next year, on January 19, 2026.
Hungary will be able to enter four competitors in cross-country skiing.
Ádám Kónya, Ádám Büki, Sára Pónya, and Lara Laczkó have earned the right to participate. In alpine skiing, both the men’s and women’s teams have one national quota each. The Hungarian Olympic Committee reported that Zita Tóth is the most likely candidate for the women’s spot, while competition is expected for the men’s team selection.

In the snowboard slopestyle and big air events, Hungary has secured a women’s national quota thanks to the results of Beijing Olympian Kamilla Kozuback. Additionally, in snowboard cross, Blanca Brunner has already achieved the world ranking results required for the quota, but she still needs to earn the FIS points mandated by the qualification rules. The Hungarian Olympic Committee states that she may be able to obtain these points in the next season.
