Is Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter Tour Struggling To Sell? What We Know
Speculation on social media about how tickets for Beyoncé’s upcoming tour are selling has been rife; this is what we know about ticket sales.
Newsweek has reached out to a representative for Beyoncé via email for comment.
The Context
Beyoncé is set to embark on the highly anticipated “Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour” in April 2025.

The tour is named after the singer’s 2024 album Cowboy Carter. The album earned Beyoncé a Grammy for Album of the Year at this year’s awards.
Her last tour was one of the highest-grossing of all time, taking in a reported $579 million. It sold over 2.7 million tickets, and many fans struggled to secure tickets due to overwhelming demand, with demand at one point over 800 percent of the overall capacity for customers, according to The Hill.
What To Know
Social media speculation as to how tickets for the Cowboy Carter tour have been selling has been prominent.
According to statistics from the promoter Live Nation, the world tour is at 94 percent capacity across all dates.
It was first announced on February 3rd, with 22 shows in eight cities. Additional dates were then added, including two add-ons in both Atlanta and London.
A 31st date was later added, according to Live Nation, with Beyoncé performing in the Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium on July 25. The tour will ultimately consist of 31 dates across North America and Europe.
The ticket sales for the tour have been handled by Ticketmaster. When tickets went on sale, fans reported issues with the site freezing or crashing during checkout, while others reported soaring ticket costs, a well-documented complaint for Ticketmaster, which uses dynamic pricing.
On Ticketmaster, there are currently 29 Beyoncé events listed, the majority of which are in the U.S., but six of which take place in London, England. The majority of these 29 concerts still have tickets available on Ticketmaster.
Ticket prices vary in each venue. Some venues list tickets as starting at $52, and tickets go up to upwards of $700. The pricing is reflective of different kinds of tickets, i.e., where they are in the stadium and what the view is like. Tickets closer to the stage will be more expensive than ones far away. Ticket availability differs from venue to venue.
The tickets available are also not all new; many of the tickets available to purchase are verified as resale tickets.
What People Are Saying
Beyoncé Global, a fan account on X: “Despite false allegations and unprofessional journalists spreading lies, ticket sales for the COWBOY CARTER TOUR are doing well, with around 1.3 million tickets sold so far.”
Showbiz 411 on X: “Don’t Buy The BS About Beyonce’s Tour — It’s 94% Sold Out, with 1.3 Mil Tickets Spread Over 30 Shows.”
Pop Stuff on X: “Several media outlets are reporting the massive FAILURE of Beyoncé’s vastly UNSOLD ‘Cowboy Carter Tour’. The tour has barely sold out 3/30 shows, with 27 shows still having a lot of unsold tickets. A music industry insider said ‘Sometimes you don’t retire. The fans retire you.'”
What’s Next
Beyoncé’s tour will begin on April 28.
