Celtics Injury Report: Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown Statues Revealed vs Wizards
The Boston Celtics are set to take on the Washington Wizards for the fourth and final time of the regular season on Sunday.
The Celtics will look to continue their stellar play and capture their 58th win of the season. Boston is a heavy favorite in this matchup with a -20.5 spread, and that is despite their best players, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, being on the injury report.
Tatum and Brown entered this game listed as questionable. Tatum has an ankle issue, and Brown has a knee issue.

The ankle issue will be too much for Tatum to handle on Sunday, as the Celtics have ruled him out for this game. Tatum will miss his eighth game of the season.

Brown will tough it out as the Celtics have upgraded him from questionable to available. He will play and start in his 62nd game of the season.

Tatum was solid the last time he was on the court, as he recorded 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field, eight rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and one block in 35 minutes of action in the win over the Phoenix Suns.
The 27-year-old has been stellar in the season, averaging 26.9 points per game, 8.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 34.4 percent from three in 70 games and 36.3 minutes of action.
Brown’s last contest was phenomenal. He recorded 31 points in the win against the Phoenix Suns on Friday.
Brown has also been great in the Celtics all season long. In the season, he is averaging 22.6 points per game, 5.9 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 46.4 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from three in 34.7 minutes of action.
Boston appears on track to lock in the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Even so, the Celtics remain the team everyone is chasing, as the reigning NBA champions. The path to the title may not run entirely through TD Garden, but Boston’s pedigree and depth make them the squad to beat.
The Celtics hold a 35-12 record against Eastern Conference opponents and rank eighth in the league in rebounding with 45.1 boards per game—led by Tatum’s 8.7 per contest.
On the other side, the Wizards are just 12-35 in conference play and have struggled mightily against top-tier teams, posting a 6-35 record against teams with winning records.
Boston has won nine of its last 10 games and continues to look sharp heading into the postseason.
