Kevin Owens (WWE WrestleMania 38) Cagematch.net Rating: 7.54
In his first match in 19 years, Steve Austin faced Kevin Owens in a fun, albeit stiff and basic, brawl at WrestleMania 38, utilizing the crowd and weapons in a match that, while not a technical spectacle, served as a beloved final send-off for Austin as he defeated Owens to the delight of the audience.
The Rock (WWE WrestleMania 19) Cagematch.net Rating: 8.42
Even though it was unknowingly Steve Austin’s final match for 19 years, his WrestleMania 19 encounter with The Rock was a significant clash of icons, showcasing their undeniable chemistry through counters, finishers, and brawling, with The Rock putting in considerable effort to compensate for Austin’s slower movement, resulting in a special match where The Rock finally secured a WrestleMania victory over his rival.
The Rock (WWE WrestleMania 17) Cagematch.net Rating: 8.42
The main event of WrestleMania 17 was a phenomenal Attitude Era battle between The Rock and Steve Austin, rich with history, hatred, and world-class psychology, captivating a raucous audience despite its walk-and-brawl style that prioritized character work and atmosphere over technical precision, famously ending with Austin’s shocking heel turn and alliance with Vince McMahon.
