At inpatient physical rehabilitation centers, patients can receive individualized, focused care that can help them regain function, as well as strengthen and increase stamina. Thanks to longer sessions spent with multidisciplinary teams comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and other medical professionals, patients can supercharge their recoveries and leave these centers better able to take on their daily lives.
The physical therapy and rehabilitation industry is expected to grow considerably within the next decade, with the employment of physical therapists expected to grow 14 percent by 2033, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. To help patients make the best decision for where to receive their physical rehabilitation treatment, Newsweek and global data analytics firm Statista are partnering for this year’s ranking of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers, recognizing the top inpatient physical rehabilitation centers nationwide.
Last year’s ranking recognized the top 300 physical rehabilitation centers in the United States based on an online survey of experts in the field. The centers were organized by geographic location—the 25 states with the most facilities were ranked individually, while facilities from remaining states were grouped into four regions.
