How the system failed Lauren Johansen
In this episode of “True Crime News,” Lauren Johansen and Bricen Rivers were high school sweethearts, but that love turned dark when Bricen allegedly started beating her. Lauren managed to briefly escape his terror, but an incident in Nashville led to his arrest and, later, his freedom. He traveled to Lauren undetected due to a broken ankle monitor, then allegedly beat her to death. Plus, the man who killed UCLA grad student Brianna Kupfer in a Los Angeles furniture store learns his fate.
