The Dodgers are first in the NL West with a 36-22 record, a mark that may look a bit disappointing considering the expectations that Los Angeles entered the season with. The Dodgers are heating up, boasting a 7-3 record over their last 10 games. And this series against the Yankees is a great example of that, as the Dodgers have controlled New York this weekend.
The Dodgers took the first game of the series on Friday, 8-5, behind a 2-for-5 performance by superstar Shohei Ohtani, who had two home runs on the evening and two RBIs. Game two on Saturday was much more one-sided, with the Dodgers jumping out to a 10-0 lead through two innings and never looking back. Third-baseman Max Muncy was monstrous in the contest, going 3-for-6 with two home runs and seven RBIs. Dalton Rushing went 1-for-3 with one home run in the game for Los Angeles, too.
Can the Yankees close out the series with a win to head back to New York with some better momentum? Or will Los Angeles make it a dominant sweep on Sunday?
Tune in to ESPN at 7:00 p.m. ET on Sunday to watch the Dodgers host the Yankees at Dodger Stadium for the finale of their three-game set.
