Virginia woman arrested after allegedly calling 911 to say she fatally shot her ex
STAFFORD, Va. (TCN) — A 32-year-old woman allegedly killed her ex-boyfriend and called 911 to report the incident.
According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, on July 19, Ashlynn Blair called law enforcement, reporting that she believed she had fatally shot her ex-boyfriend. She reportedly contacted authorities from a supermarket parking lot, but the shooting occurred at a home on Rocky Run Road.
Deputies responded to the residence and found a 31-year-old male victim with apparent gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Around the same time, other deputies made contact with Blair, and she was taken into custody. The weapon she allegedly used to kill her ex was in her possession at the time of her arrest.
The sheriff’s office alleges the shooting was domestic-related. Blair was booked into the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond and faces charges of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
