Patterson took to X to announce his own release with a caption that reads:
“Breaking news❗️❗️❗️Pittsburgh Steelers release old washed up cordarrelle patterson on his day off!!!”
Patterson may have to find a new team, but at least he appears to be in good spirits about being released by the Steelers.
Patterson ended the 2024 season with 135 rushing yards, 80 receiving yards, one touchdown, and 240 return yards.
Though Patterson had a bit of a down year, he is sure to find a new team.

Through his career, Patterson has multiple accolades that include being a Super Bowl champion, four-time Pro Bowler, four-time First-team All-Pro, two-time Second-team All-Pro, and two-time NFL return yards leader.
Patterson may have seen a dip in his production over the past few seasons, but with the NFL keeping the dynamic kickoff, he is still a viable threat in the return game.
