Browns’ 2-Word Shedeur Sanders Message Has Fans Buzzing

The Cleveland Browns are set to play their first preseason game of the 2025 season on Friday night against the Carolina Panthers. Along with the game itself is the first preseason start for rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

After the Browns announced that Sanders would be the starter and play a good portion of the game, fans immediately started buzzing. He has been one of the most talked about players in the NFL since his big slide in the 2025 NFL Draft.

For those who don’t know the story, Sanders was widely projected to be a first or second-round draft pick. However, he did not get selected until Cleveland traded up to get him in the fifth round.

During preseason action, the Browns have had a four-man quarterback competition rolling. Along with Sanders, the team has Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel competing for playing time.

Sanders has been at the bottom of the depth chart throughout training camp, but due to injuries that Pickett and Gabriel have been dealing with, he drew the start against the Panthers.

With that being said, Cleveland is playing up Sanders’ first preseason starter. On X, the team sent out a two-word message about Sanders and their preseason opener.

“gameday mood,” the post read.

It did not take long for fans to jump into the Browns’ comments on the post. To say that there is excitement about watching Sanders play would be an understatement.

“THE STORY BEGINS TONIGHT,” one fan commented.

Another comment read, “Go get em kid!”

“This is going to be the most watched preseason game of all time,” a third comment read.

A fourth fan wrote, “This going be the most views the browns ever had.”

“sources are saying Cleveland to Canton begins tonight,” a fifth fan said.

Needless to say, the presence of Sanders has made tonight’s game must-watch football for fans. It will be interesting to see how the young quarterback looks in his first NFL game action.

Granted, it’s just a preseason game. However, for a rookie quarterback working hard to find his way onto the field, it’s a huge opportunity to stand out in the competition.

Now, the stage has been set and Sanders simply needs to take advantage of the opportunity he has been given.
