Jets Head Coach Aaron Glenn Sends Warning Message Regarding Costly Fumble

The New York Jets turned over the ball just once in Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it was a costly one as the team conceded a touchdown just a few moments later.
Head coach Aaron Glenn delivered a powerful statement to his team about what could happen if they continue to turn over the ball.

“The one thing to me that turned this game is man, we can’t have turnovers, can’t do it,’ Glenn told reporters in his postgame press conference. “That is something that will be addressed because you will not be on the field with this team if you’re gonna cause us to lose games if you’re gonna cause issues like that, so we will get that addressed.”
Xavier Gipson coughed up the football on a kick return in the second half, so Glenn’s message was a clear shot at him. However, he didn’t name names which means it’s a warning to everyone on the team.
Every coach will tell you turnovers kill momentum and can decide a game. The Jets were the latest victim on Sunday after Justin Fields and their offense put up 32 points against the Steelers defense.
Sending this kind of message this early in the season is a reminder to Jets fans and the rest of the league that Glenn is making his mark early on the team’s culture and isn’t afraid to tell it how it is. It’s safe to say, though, that Gipson has a shorter leash moving forward than the rest of his teammates.
