Report: 49ers Receive Major Injury Update on Jauan Jennings
The San Francisco 49ers cannot afford another injury.
More news: 49ers’ Brock Purdy May Miss Week 2 Due To Multiple Injuries
Currently, the team will be without star tight end George Kittle for multiple weeks, and he may be added to IR due to a severe hamstring injury. Quarterback Brock Purdy is also dealing with multiple injuries that could see him miss Week 2.
That is on top of the team already being without Brandon Aiyuk, and many other offensive stars.
To make matters worse, the 49ers lost Jauan Jennings in Week 1 to what appeared to be a significant shoulder injury. Now, Jennings has received a new update, which is the best news for the banged-up team.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Jennings did not suffer anything serious. There is currently no timeline on when he will return, but it sounds as though he may just be limited in practice.
The last thing that the 49ers need is to be down another receiver. With Jennings hurt, the team already made a move on bringing back Kendrick Bourne.

More news: 49ers Get Devastating George Kittle Injury News
Even with Bourne, the team is severely lacking in offensive playmakers now that Kittle is set to miss multiple weeks.
Trent Taylor and Jordan Watkins are out, and Demarcus Robinson remains suspended. Simply put, this 49ers team is suffering on the injury side of things.
The good news is that the 49ers were able to squeeze a win against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The final score of 17-13 was very much indicative of the injuries the team is dealing with.
With Week 2 approaching, the 49ers are set to face off against the New Orleans Saints. San Francisco is a much better team on paper, but they might not appear so with so many players out.
If Purdy does miss Week 2 due to his shoulder and toe injuries, it will be Mac Jones taking the lead to help guide the 49ers to a 2-0 record.
