2025 World Series Odds: Dodgers No Longer Lone Favorites
The countdown to the 2025 MLB Fall Classic is on.
The Dodgers blew past the Yankees in the 2024 World Series, winning 4-1 to earn their second title in the past five years.
Will L.A. make it three in six years?

For the first time in forever, the Dodgers are not the lone favorite.
Even though L.A. holds just a slim lead in the NL West over San Diego (one game as of Sept. 9), and trails Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Toronto, Detroit, the Chicago Cubs and the New York Yankees in the standings (as of Sept. 9), L.A. has remained the World Series favorite since before the season began.
But that is no more … kinda.
The Phillies are tied with the Dodgers atop the oddsboard at +475. Philly has the second-best record in baseball, having won eight of its last 11.
Both Philadelphia and L.A. have 18 games left in the regular season. The Phillies have three games left against the Mets and three against the Dodgers, while the Dodgers have those three against Philadelphia and three against Seattle.
Winning back-to-back titles in professional baseball has proven difficult in the history of the sport, meaning, although L.A. is tied as the favorite to repeat, it will by no means be easy.
The last time a team won consecutive World Series, the Yankees won three in a row from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, the Blue Jays repeated in 1993 after winning it all in 1992.
