Adam Schefter’s Latest Comments Are Bad News for the Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have officially started off the 2025 NFL season with an 0-2 record after falling to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 action by a final score of 20-17.
In the rematch of last year’s Super Bowl, the Chiefs were unable to come up with a different result than that game. With the win, the Eagles improved to 2-0 on the year.
This is the first time with Mahomes as the starting quarterback that Kansas City has been 0-2 to begin a season. After the slow start, there are a lot of concerns rising about the Chiefs and their ability to turn things around.

Most recently, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter spoke out with some tough truth.

During an appearance on “Get Up” on Monday morning, Schefter bluntly called attention to the growing problems in Kansas City.
“That air of invincibility, that aura that’s been around them, it’s dented,” he said.
There are very few arguments that can be used against that statement. At 0-2, the Chiefs simply do not look like a serious contender. That could change, but things have not looked good.
Kansas City’s start to the season hasn’t just been two losses. It’s the way the team has lost those games. The Chiefs have not looked like the team that they have been for years under the leadership of Andy Reid.
On both sides of the football, they have been unable to make the necessary plays. Losing to Philadelphia is nothing to be ashamed of, but Kansas City simply doesn’t usually allow losses to pile on top of each other.
Next week, the Chiefs are set to hit the road for a Sunday Night Football matchup against the New York Giants. That is as close to a must win game as it can get in Week 3 of a season. If they lose that game, the panic alarm will officially sound.

At least for now, there is no fear for opponents when facing Kansas City. It has been a long time since the Chiefs were viewed as just another football team.
Perhaps the magic has officially left Kansas City. Mahomes and company cannot be counted out just yet, but they’re certainly in trouble.
