Despite not being a household name in Hungary, the recently assassinated U.S. influencer’s violent death has reverberated throughout public discourse. Now an improvised memorial has been set up at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, most likely by Americans as well as local citizens.
A few flowers, photographs of Charlie Kirk and candles mark the place where people remember the American Christian public speaker and author. One of the signs read:
Thank you Charlie Kirk, we will never forget you!”

The much-loved U.S. Christian influencer was shot and killed during a public engagement in Utah Valley University on September 10. His suspected killer is in custody awaiting trial. Authorities suspect that the murder could have political motivations, as writings on the murder weapons and the alleged perpetrator’s own profile point in that directions.
