Iowa man accused of fatally stabbing woman in 2003 and leaving her body in field
THORNTON, Colo. (TCN) — Authorities recently arrested a 55-year-old Iowa man in connection with the stabbing death of a 29-year-old woman who was found in Colorado more than two decades ago.
According to KUSA-TV, the body of Rosa Arguello, a member of the Hopi tribe, was discovered in a field in October 2003, and an autopsy revealed she had been stabbed numerous times.
In a Sept. 15 news release, the Dubuque Police Department announced that officials arrested Robert McClain on a warrant out of Adams County, Colorado, on a charge of homicide. He will be extradited to Colorado.
Thornton Police Chief Jim Baird reportedly said, “We are grateful for our partners at Dubuque PD and will continue to work closely with the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office to pursue justice for Rosa and her family.”
