My initial lean for this game was to take the Bucs to at least cover on the road.

With kickoff upon us, I’d recommend either staying away from the spread or making a small play on Tampa Bay. Keeping Will Anderson Jr. and the Houston pass rush at bay without Tristan Wirfs will be a challenge, but I didn’t see enough from the Texans in last week’s ugly loss to the Rams to convince me they’re going to win comfortably against any playoff-caliber opponents.

If there’s one bet worth making in this contest, though, it’s the under. Both these O-lines could be in for long nights based on what we saw last week, and I think the Tampa defense is better than people realize after injuries hurt this unit’s effectiveness in 2024.
