Falcons’ Kirk Cousins Trade Rumors Get Brutal Update From NFL Insiders
There are many starting quarterbacks who are currently hurt in the NFL.

Minnesota Vikings’ J.J. McCarthy, Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow, New York Jets’ Justin Fields, and Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels are all suffering from injuries.
Daniels is the only one of the listed quarterbacks who has a chance to play sooner rather than later.

That said, it would be believed that those teams would be searching for a stronger veteran presence to lead the team. The Vikings have Carson Wentz starting, the Bengals have Jake Browning, the Jets have Tyrod Taylor, and the Commanders would have Marcus Mariota.
Of the backups, Browning might be one of the most questionable in terms of starting long-term.
Teams often start reaching out during severe injuries to see if they can bolster their quarterback rooms, and one of the first places said teams might have checked is with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons still have Kirk Cousins on the roster, and he was the subject of trade rumors leading to the start of the regular season. Those trade rumors have once again surfaced and have once again been shot down by NFL insiders.
During the “Scoop City” podcast with Dianna Russi and James Palmer, the belief is that Cousins will not be moved by the Falcons regardless of the situation.
Russini answered a fan question on whether the Falcons are considering trading Cousins to a quarterback-needy team.
“From what I can gather, the Atlanta Falcons are not trying to move him at this moment,” Russini stated.
Cousin’s massive contract is a big reason why, unless a team comes in and offers to pay that for a trade.
“There were some people around the league that I talk to that think Kirk Cousins is essentially done,” Palmer said.
Cousins would have a dead cap hit of $37.5 million if he were traded to a new team, and it is likely the Falcons are not willing to take that on. Unfortunately, this means he will likely stay put.
That is, unless a team wants to take on that sizeable contract.
