NFL Analyst Couldn’t Believe What She Saw From Jordan Davis

Mina Kimes was like NFL fans all across the country when watching the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams were lining up to kick a game-winning field goal in a game they had been in control of for much of the day.
However, Jordan Davis, who had already blocked one field goal, had other plans as he did it again to preserve the win for the Eagles. While the block was special, it was what happened next that Kimes couldn’t believe that she saw.

After the block, Davis picked up the ball and took it the other way for a 61-yard touchdown to end the game with an emphatic statement.
During an episode of NFL Live on Monday, Kimes talked about the play, saying it shouldn’t be possible for Davis to do that.
“What stood out to me was the sheer athleticism,” Kimes said. This is why Jordan Davis went in the first round. We were at the combine watching him run, and it did not physically make sense to watch someone that size run at that speed.”
Davis was drafted by the Eagles with the No. 13 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The former Bulldog pairs with his college teammate Jalen Carter to form the most dynamic defensive tackle duo in the league.
While he has always shown the potential to be a star, he entered this off-season with a different mindset. Davis came into the season down 26 pounds, and took his conditioning way different this year. His role was expanding, and he wanted to show he was an every-down player.
After the game, he told reporters that he hadn’t showcased that speed in a long time, but the work in the off-season helped him on Sunday.
“We knew he was going short and low. Just had to get our hands up,” Davis said. “At the end of the day, balls on the ground, scoop a score. We practice it every Thursday. Got to do it.”Look, man, I ain’t run that fast since my 40 (yard dash). So, I’m glad I got a touchdown, man.”
Jalen Carter gets a lot of the talk, and rightfully so. However, there are many teams in the NFL with one great defensive tackle. Having a second guy like Davis makes the Eagles a nightmare to prepare for, and he is more than capable of making a big play.
The Eagles will be looking to Davis to make some big plays in Week 4, as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a battle of undefeated teams. The Buccaneers are also the last time to beat the Eagles in a game that Jalen Hurts finished.
