Tiger Fatally Attacks Oklahoma Trainer in Front of Family…

A large tiger fatally attacked its longtime handler during a big cat show at a private preserve in southeastern Oklahoma as shocked spectators looked on, authorities said Monday.

Deputies found Ryan Easley, 37, dead inside a cage at the Growler Pines Tiger Preserve Saturday, minutes after receiving an emergency call, Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park said.

Park said the tiger suddenly bit and shook Easley while his wife and young daughter were present. The preserve later called the death a “painful reminder” of the risks Easley accepted out of love for the animals under his care.
