Time Out Market Budapest Debuts with a Feast of Flavors and Culture

On September 20, the Time Out Market Budapest officially opened its doors in the historic Corvin Palace on Blaha Lujza Square. Marking the brand’s debut in Central Eastern Europe, the market positions itself as a key culinary and cultural destination in the heart of the Hungarian capital.

Open daily from 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM, the venue brings together a curated selection of the city’s best gastronomic and cultural offerings under one roof. Visitors can enjoy dishes from award-winning chefs, beloved local eateries, and innovative newcomers.

The space hosts eleven carefully selected culinary concepts, three bars, five event areas, and 540 seats. A signature feature: guests are invited to dine at communal tables, allowing them to sample a variety of flavors in one sitting while chefs prepare dishes—such as beef tartare with oyster emulsion or a classic Margherita pizza—right before their eyes.

The market’s food offerings span traditional Hungarian fare to global tastes:

  • Anyukám Mondta delivers Italian cuisine rooted in family tradition

  • Pingrumba introduces the bold spices and aromas of the Middle East

  • 101 Bistro reimagines the layered flavors of Taiwanese cuisine

  • Szaletly puts a modern twist on Hungarian classics

  • István Pesti and CANTEEN focus on authentic Hungarian dishes

  • Bigfish brings fresh seafood to the city center

  • Tuning Burger offers gourmet burgers with global flair

  • M’EAT by Jenő Rácz serves high-end appetizers with a Mediterranean touch

  • LIRA by Essência Restaurant makes fine dining more accessible

  • Hai Nam Pho brings the unmistakable flavors of Vietnam

Complementing the food are beverages including Dreher Tanksör (unpasteurized beer), a Wines of Hungary bar featuring selections from 22 regions, and the exclusive Absolut Cocktail Bar “Born to Mix.”
