Saints Make Historical Alvin Kamara Announcement After Beating Giants
The New Orleans Saints picked up a major win, as the team finally got its first victory of the season against the New York Giants. Head coach Jellen Moore and quarterback Spencer Rattler now have a win under their belts, and the team also celebrated star running back Alvin Kamara in a big way.

Kamara is a longtime veteran, having spent all of his first eight seasons with the Saints. In his ninth season, the star dual-threat back has now made NFL history.
Kamara has moved into the top five in receptions made by a running back. With his 588th reception in his career, he surpassed Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs legend Marcus Allen. Allen finished his career with 587.
Kamara secured three more receptions in the game, bringing his total to 590 in his career. He will need 611 total to surpass fourth-place Philadelphia Eagles legend Keith Byars.

Kamara has been one of the most dependable and solid dual-threat running backs in the league, securing over 1,000 scrimmage yards in every season he has spent in the NFL. It is believed that he can surpass Byars in 2025.
For the Saints, the team is now 1-4 on the season. After making the day a nightmare for rookie passer Jaxson Dart, the team pulled off a big 26-14 win. Kamara picked up 27 yards on the ground and 28 yards through the air in the victory.
New Orleans now faces the New England Patriots in Week 6 and the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Both teams pose different problems for the Saints, but this victory against the Giants may provide the team with he confidence to start winning more games.
