Ravens Sign QB to 53-Man Roster Amid Lamar Jackson Update
The 1-5 Baltimore Ravens have a big game upcoming in Week 8 when they host the 4-2 Chicago Bears.

Despite a disastrous start to the season, the Ravens hope to turn around their fortunes by beating a Bears team on a four-game winning streak. Baltimore’s schedule was daunting in the first four weeks of the season, and the team went 1-3 as quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in a 37-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

Backup quarterback Cooper Rush struggled in relief of Jackson. However, coming off the bye in Week 7, it appears Jackson will start against Chicago after participating in all three practices this week.
Baltimore listed Jackson as questionable to play in Week 8 after being a full participant in Friday’s practice.
With Jackson’s status still unconfirmed for Sunday, the Ravens signed veteran quarterback Tyler Huntley to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
“The Ravens signed QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley to the 53-man roster, per the wire,” Rapoport posted on X. “He has been on the practice squad.”
Huntley, 27, joined the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Utah in 2020. He’s had stops with the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins.
Huntley appeared in the Ravens’ 17-3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Oct. 12, when he went 10-of-15 passing for 68 yards after Rush was benched. He’s thrown for 2,854 yards, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in his six-year NFL career.
Huntley has appeared in 26 games and started in 14 games, going 5-9 as a starter.
Following his performance against the Rams, the Ravens wanted to make sure to keep Huntley on the roster in case anything happens to Jackson.
The Ravens may have a 1-5 record, but there is still buzz surrounding the team. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer suggested Baltimore is one of the more likely teams to upset the Chiefs in the AFC playoffs.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Ravens back up that buzz with a win over the Bears.
