Another WWE Title Match Added to Saturday Night’s Main Event
WWE has added another marquee championship match to “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” The first match on Monday’s episode of “WWE Raw” featured a No. 1 contender match. Penta went one-on-one with Rusev with a shot at Dominik Mysterio’s WWE Intercontinental Championship at stake.
The match was competitive before El Grande Americano’s faction ambushed both Penta and Rusev to cause the no-contest ruling. Rusev returned to the ring and attacked two members of the stable before Penta kicked El Grande Americano. “WWE Raw” general manager Adam Pearce later announced that Mysterio will now face both Penta and Rusev in a triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at “Saturday Night’s Main Event.”

Dominik Mysterio’s Issues With The Judgment Day
While Mysterio currently holds both the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship, he’s currently at odds with his fellow Judgment Day members. Finn Balor is particularly upset with Mysterio for not pulling his weight within the faction. Mysterio asked Balor and JD McDonagh for help prior to the non-finish for the No. 1 contender match, but they refused.
As a result, Mysterio has called upon El Grande Americano for help. This isn’t the first time Mysterio has gotten himself in The Judgment Day’s doghouse by relying on another faction. At one point, Mysterio called on some help from the Legado del Fantasma stable without letting anyone in The Judgment Day know.
Mysterio may have to continue relying on El Grande Americano for assistance when he takes on Penta and Rusev in Salt Lake City. Penta has yet to win a singles championship under the WWE banner. Rusev has captured singles gold, but he hasn’t found that success early in his second run with the company.
