Female Influencer Missing for 10 Days Found Alive in Attic Room
An influencer with almost 60,000 followers on Instagram, who was missing for more than ten days, has now been found alive in a friend’s attic in Italy.
Why It Matters
Tatiana Tramacere was found alive and well on Thursday by Carabinieri law enforcement officials, Wanted in Rome has reported.
Nardò Mayor Pippi Mellone confirmed on Facebook that Tramacere had been found in good health, writing in Italian, “I don’t know how to explain the joy I’m feeling right now.”
In a previous post, Mellone said the 27-year-old disappeared from Nardò, in southern Italy, on November 24.
Newsweek has reached out to the Carabinieri, an Italian national law enforcement agency, for comment.
What To Know
Tramacere had been planning to travel to Brescia to meet an ex-boyfriend, Wanted in Rome reported. She purchased a bus ticket but never used it, according to the outlet.
Mellone said: “Tatiana never moves away without informing her family. That’s why the concern is growing.”
On Thursday, law enforcement officials found her in an attic room of the home belonging to Dragos-Ioan Gheormescu, a 30-year-old man of Romanian origin, and the last person to see her on the day she disappeared, according to the outlet.
Mellone wrote on Facebook that “Nardò breathes a sigh of relief. We are happy!”
The mayor thanked “everyone who never gave up” and said he is thinking of her family and all who have experienced “days of anguish.”
Gheormescu was placed under investigation by prosecutors in connection with Tramacere’s disappearance and he could face charges if investigators determine that the woman was held against her will, according to Wanted in Rome.
Gheormescu said he did not force Tramacere to stay against her will, according to state broadcaster RAI.
What People Are Saying
Nardò Mayor Pippi Mellone, on Facebook: “Now it’s important to respect Tatiana and her loved ones, ensure peace of mind and let the competent authorities clarify every aspect.”
Tatiana Tramacere’s father, in comments to state broadcaster RAI: “It was a Christmas gift, we found her safe and sound.”
What Happens Next
Authorities have not yet announced whether Tramacere’s disappearance will lead to criminal charges. Vladimir Tramacere, Tatiana’s brother, told journalists that officials are still investigating what happened in the attic.
