The First Babies Born in 2026 Are Two Girls

The first baby of the new year, Alíz Jusztina, was born at midnight at the Flór Ferenc Hospital in Kistarcsa (near Budapest), while Liza was born four minutes after midnight at the Jahn Ferenc South Pest Hospital and Clinic, the first of the capital’s state institutions.

As Flór Ferenc Hospital reported, the first baby of the new year, Alíz Jusztina, was born at their institution at midnight.

They added that the baby girl weighed 3610 grams and measured 57 centimeters, and was born naturally as the first child of her parents.

The 34-year-old mother and the baby are both healthy, they said.

Four minutes after midnight, the first baby of 2026 in the capital, Liza Jónás, was born at the Jahn Ferenc South Pest Hospital and Clinic, the institution announced.
