LAS VEGAS (TCN) — Two men have been arrested on attempted murder charges in connection with an assault and stabbing in a KFC restaurant.
On Dec. 27, 2025, Gerald Carter, 32, allegedly went behind the counter at the restaurant to confront employees about an issue he had with the gravy in his order, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
His uncle, James Carter, 48, then allegedly followed. The names of the victims have not been released, but according to police, surveillance footage showed Gerald Carter stabbing an employee and James Carter punching an employee and placing him in a chokehold for several seconds, the Review-Journal reports.
Employees called the police and the men, who had left the restaurant but were walking nearby, were arrested and booked into jail. Gerald Carter claimed his knife remained in his pocket the whole time, according to the Review-Journal. He said the fight started when the employee allegedly disrespected him and called him names.
Gerald Carter is being held on a $100,000 bail and James Carter is being held on a $10,000 bail, per the Review-Journal. KLAS reports the men will be required to wear an ankle monitor if they post bond.
