Florida man allegedly mooned group of teens at McDonald’s
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (TCN) — A man has been arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery and two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition after allegedly mooning a group of teens and throwing soda at them.
The New York Post reports that 47-year-old William Heath went to a McDonald’s restaurant on Feb. 7 and allegedly became agitated when he became convinced a group of teenagers was staring at him. The Independent Florida Alligator reports the group consisted of a 17-year-old and two 15-year-olds.
Heath allegedly approached the group, began to argue with them, and threw his Dr Pepper on them before leaving, according to the New York Post. The group then followed him out and he allegedly collapsed into a bush and pretended the teens had shoved him.
An arrest record obtained by WCJB states a witness outside the McDonald’s said Heath claimed he had been punched and was yelling obscenities at the group about race and sexuality.
The Independent Florida Alligator reports the teens took a video of Heath allegedly lowering his pants, exposing his buttocks, and smacking and rubbing them. According to a witness seated nearby in her car, the teens did not initiate any physical contact with Heath.
According to the Post, Heath allegedly confessed after being read his Miranda rights by police, saying the teens had insulted him. He was then arrested.
