In a now-viral post, Reddit user u/305tilidiiee shared a picture of their husband’s closet alongside an explanation that he has been “wearing the same clothes” since 2005. Coincidentally, that was also the same year the couple started dating.
The picture shows a range of short-sleeve shirts in various patterns, including striped and chequered garments.
While some might find the idea of wearing the same clothes for over two decades unusual, many Reddit users have hailed this man’s sustainable approach to fashion. In the days since the post was shared online, it has gone viral with over 6,200 votes and more than 470 comments on Reddit so far.

In the days since the Reddit post went viral, many people have taken to the comments to share their thoughts. Indeed, some even suggested there could be a heartwarming reason as to why he hasn’t bought new clothes since 2005, theorizing that it was the best year of his life as he met his spouse.
