Regular Season MVP 2025-26

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder: -270
Last week: -140

What to know: SGA is second in the NBA in scoring (31.8), and his Thunder have the best record in the NBA. He is also in the midst of a remarkable streak of 123 consecutive 20-point games, the second-most in NBA history, trailing only Wilt Chamberlain (126). The Thunder are also 2-0 against their biggest rivals this season, the Denver Nuggets. SGA is attempting to become the 14th player in NBA history to win back-to-back MVP awards.

Nikola Jokić, Nuggets: +475
Last week: +270

What to know: After missing 16 games due to injury, Jokić is back in the mix, and has played 14 straight games for the Nuggets. However, Denver is just 6-8 in those contests. Jokić recently passed Oscar Robertson for the second-most triple-doubles in NBA history. He’s looking to become the first player in NBA history to top the league in assists and rebounds per game in a single season, two categories he currently leads. However, if he misses more than one game the rest of the season, he will not be MVP-eligible.

Cade Cunningham, Pistons: +1000
Last week: +500

What to know: Cunningham’s Pistons have the second-best record in the NBA, and are the top team in the East behind their star point guard, who is second in the league in assists per game and averaging over 25 points for the second consecutive season.

Victor Wembanyama, Spurs: +2000
Last week: +2500

What to know: The Spurs are a force to be reckoned with behind their star center. They have the second-best record in the West and are within arm’s length of SGA and OKC. Wemby leads the NBA in blocks per game and is the favorite to win Defensive Player of the Year.

Jaylen Brown, Celtics: +4000
Last week: +3000

What to know: The Cs have been without Jayson Tatum all season, but it hasn’t slowed them down a lick, namely due to Brown’s dominance. He is averaging 29 points, 7.1 rebounds and five assists on the year, and Boston is second in the East.
