49ers’ Christian McCaffrey Suffers Apparent Non-Contact Lower Leg Injury on SNF
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey suffered an apparent non-contact lower leg injury on Sunday Night Football vs. the Buffalo Bills.
McCaffrey took a handoff on 1st and 10 and immediately slowed up. He slid down to the ground on his own before getting up and jogging to the sideline. Here’s a video of the play:
McCaffrey then left the medical tent and walked to the locker room. The 49ers have officially listed McCaffrey as questionable to return with a knee injury.
McCaffrey was off to a dominant start, rushing seven times for 53 yards to go along with two catches for 14 yards. This was the best McCaffrey has looked since returning from injury in Week 10, but now the injury issues appear to be back for McCaffrey and the 49ers.
