49ers Injury Issues Continue as Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall Exit Game

The San Francisco 49ers cannot seem to shake the injury bug. Ricky Pearsall is suffering from an injury in the Jacksonville Jaguars game, and now Jauan Jennings has suffered another injury.

Pearsall and Jennings were both questionable heading into the game against the Jaguars, with Jennings suffering from a shoulder and ankle injury. Despite the questionable status, Jennings was able to give it a go on Sunday.

Jennings was involved in a two-point conversion and was slammed between two Jaguars defenders. The result of the hit left the 49ers receiver writhing on the ground. Now, he was seen heading straight into the blue medical tent.

Pearsall was seen attempting to stretch out his leg, but he was also sent to the blue medical tent to be checked out.

Much like Jennings, Pearsall entered the game with a questionable status. He was suffering from a knee injury ahead of the Jaguars game, which may have been reaggravated at some point.

The 49ers’ offensive weapons have been hit hard this season, and losing Jennings and Pearsall would dwindle that unit even more for Brock Purdy.

The good news is Purdy was able to suit up for Week 4 after he missed the past two games due to a turf toe injury. Sadly, George Kittle remains out due to a hamstring injury.

With so many injuries, it is a wonder how the 49ers have been able to fight out an undefeated record. The team is currently 3-0 on the season and leading the NFC West.

At the time of this writing, the 49ers are also keeping pace with the Jaguars, as the score is currently 17-14. This is especially true should both Jennings and Pearsall not be able to make it back in the game.

The 49ers also do not have Brandon Aiyuk, who is still recovering from an ACL tear. Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that Aiyuk may be out for more weeks than expected due to his injury being more significant than initially expected.

Should the team lose Pearsall and Jennings for more than a couple of games, expect the 49ers to make a move to land a wide receiver before the trade deadline in November.
