AEW Champion Mercedes Mone Snubs Fellow Horsewoman in Wrestling Mt. Rushmore
One of the most common questions in professional wrestling is, “Who is on your Mt. Rushmore?”
Referring to the national monument, this has fans, experts, and wrestlers ranking their top four, whether it’s generically looking at their favorites or ranking in a specific category.

Recently, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE, named her Mt. Rushmore of opponents. And it was missing one of her most notable WWE rivals.
In an appearance on ‘Truth or Dab: Rapid Fire’, Moné was asked to name her Mt. Rushmore of opponents, and her responses may be surprising to fans of The Four Horsewomen.
“That’s hard for me because I’ve wrestled some of the best in the world,” Moné said. “Number one I think is easily Bayley. We’ve made so many historic moments and matches together. Number two might have to be Charlotte Flair. She has given me my greatest matches, my worst matches, all in between.”
“Three, I might have to go with Willow Nightingale. Last but not least, I might have to choose Bianca [Belair] because of our history-making moment at WrestleMania 37, when we main-evented, something that I’m gonna remember for the rest of my life.”
While this is far from a bad ranking since all four wrestlers mentioned are immensely talented, there is one surprising name missing: Becky Lynch.

Together, Moné, Bayley, Flair, and Lynch formed The Four Horsewomen, arguably the most dominant all-female stable in professional wrestling history. They are considered partly responsible for changing the WWE Women’s Division from revolving around sex appeal to focusing on athleticism and wrestling ability.
Each of its members have won multiple world titles and been involved in incredible feuds with each other, including 36 matches where Lynch and Moné were on opposing sides.
One of their most memorable bouts was in 2019 when the two faced off for the WWE Raw Women’s Title in a Hell in a Cell match, which is largely considered one of the best women’s Hell in a Cell matches of all time.

Still, it’s hard to argue against the names Moné mentioned. She and Bayley have worked excellently as rivals and a tag team across both of their careers, her feud with Flair in 2016 is an all-time classic, and Nightingale has been her greatest opponent during her current run at AEW.
The fact of the matter is Moné has had an incredible professional wrestling career, and it looks like four places isn’t enough to consider all the amazing stores she’s been a part of.
