Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network Drops Alix Earle’s ‘Hot Mess’ Podcast Amid Feud
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
It seems that the “Alex Cooper vs. Alix Earle” feud has culminated in an official separation.
On Tuesday, February 25, Unwell Network, the production company run by 30-year-old Cooper, announced that it would no longer be the home of Hot Mess, the podcast hosted by Earle, 24.

Variety reports that “SiriusXM will also no longer sell ads for the show and that the Unwell Network has renounced all rights to Hot Mess so that Earle can freely explore future opportunities.”
The biggest indicator of a feud between the Call Her Daddy host and the Hot Mess host appears to be Earle’s absence from a Super Bowl party thrown by Cooper’s network, despite the fact that Earle was in New Orleans at the time of the event.
Cooper made headlines in August 2024 when she signed a deal with SiriusXM for $125 million, more than doubling the podcasting deal she’d previously had with Spotify.

Cooper runs Unwell, as well as a larger media company called Trending, with her husband, producer Matt Kaplan. Cooper’s official statement when she launched her deal with the satellite radio giant said, “I am beyond excited to work with SiriusXM. The Daddy Gang will always be my top priority, and with SiriusXM we will continue to find new ways to evolve and provide my listeners the best experience. The Daddy Gang wants more, so we’re getting ready to give them more… I can’t wait for this new chapter to begin.” Cooper also famously interviewed Vice President Kamala Harris on her podcast in October 2024.
Earle rose to fame on TikTok before starting her own podcast in 2023.
