Best Celtics vs. Knicks Game 4 Player Props, ATS Bets: C’s Favored At MSG
It took them falling into a 2-0 hole first, but the Boston Celtics (2) finally looked like the reigning NBA champs on Saturday at Madison Square Garden in Game 3 of their matchup vs. the Knicks (3).
Boston built big second-half leads on New York in both Games 1 and 2 at home, but squandered them due to uncharacteristically poor 3-point shooting.
With starters Jayson Tatum, Al Horford, Jrue Holiday, Derrick White and Jaylen Brown shooting a combined 15-for-29 from 3 in Game 3, the Celtics controlled their first road game of this series from start to finish.
Still, Boston needs another road win on Monday night to even this series, making Game 4 tonight a massive one. While another win would allow the Celtics to regain control of this series, a Knicks victory would put Boston on the brink of suffering one of the biggest second-round upsets in recent memory.

Celtics vs. Knicks Game 4 Player Props
Karl-Anthony Towns o12.5 Rebounds (+116 at FanDuel) — 1 unit
Anyone backing Towns’ rebounds props throughout this series has made a ton of money so far, and this appears to be a safe play worth sticking with.
Towns — who averaged right at 13 boards per game in the regular season and pulled down 32 total rebounds in the last two Knicks-Celtics matchups of the regular season — grabbed 13, 17 and 15 rebounds in Games 1, 2 and 3.
In addition to his work on the glass, Towns has been one of New York’s top scorers in this series, with 21 points in Game 2 and 21 more in Game 3. As a result, his playing time has increased from 31:29 in Game 1 to 34:49 in Game 2 to 36:27 in Game 3.
Towns is typically dangerous as an inside-outside threat. In this series, though, he’s taken just seven of his 47 field-goal attempts in this series from 3-point land. He also earned 11 free-throw attempts in Game 3, as his size has been an issue for a Boston team that is getting limited minutes from Kristaps Porzingis in this series.
If Towns has another big night on the boards in this game, his rebounds props will probably move to a line where they’re less appetizing, but for now, he’s a great value play at plus-money to get to 13 rebounds, which is a milestone he’s now reached in four straight games.
One last reason to like Towns to have another big rebounding game: given how crucial this contest is for New York, he could play well over his postseason average of 36 minutes per game, especially if this game is close in the fourth quarter.
Celtics vs. Knicks Game 4 Pick, Best Bets
Oddsmakers were bullish on the Celtics turning this series around despite their fourth-quarter meltdowns in Games 1 and 2. They were proven right — for at least one game — in Game 3 at MSG.
While New York should shoot better from 3 in Game than 4 than it did in Game 3 of this series (5-for-25), and Boston is unlikely to make half of its 3-point attempts again after draining 20 of 40 3PA on Saturday, I still expect the Celtics to not only win, but cover in this game.
The C’s are struggling to keep Towns off the glass, but they are otherwise handling everything the Knicks throw at them offensively.
That means that barring a massive night by Brunson — who is dealing with two excellent perimeter defenders in Jrue Holiday and Derrick White — the Celtics should be able to not only win, but cover, for the second game in a row.
Celtics vs. Knicks Game 4 Best Bets:
- Celtics -6.5 (-110 at FanDuel) — 1 unit
- Over 208 (-110 at bet365) — 0.5 units
