Brittany Mahomes Shares Throwback Photo with Patrick Mahomes
Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek’s network of contributors
Brittany Mahomes shared a throwback photo via Instagram story on April 2 of her and her husband Patrick Mahomes during their high school phase alongside a photo of them now.
“Who knew 12 years later we would be where we are at!” Brittany wrote alongside the collage. “This life with you,” she added, tagging the NFL star. In the photos, they are doing the same pose, except the old photo has Brittany in braces and Patrick in a buzz cut.
These two have quite the love story — they first crossed paths in 2012 and even attended their high school prom together. “Best prom date a guy could ask for!! #prom2013 #bestfriend #greatnight,” Patrick wrote in May 2013, alongside a collage of prom photos of the couple.

Despite attending different colleges, their paths remained intertwined. She pursued her passion for soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler, while he went on to play football at Texas Tech. After both graduating in 2017, they went onto pursue their sports professionally — Brittany joined the Icelandic team Afturelding/Fram, while Patrick’s talents led him to the NFL, where he was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round.
Patrick popped the question in September 2020. In February 2021, they welcomed their first baby, Sterling Skye Mahomes. The pair went off to get married in March 2022 and had their second child, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, in November 2022.
